At Ophir, even the most advanced technology needs a clear story, one that helps customers understand not only what a product does, but why it matters.
For Ronit Abdoo, Marketing Communications Specialist at Ophir, that is where marketing begins.
Since joining Ophir in 2025, Ronit has worked across content marketing, social media, digital advertising, email campaigns, industry publications, and marketing analytics. Her role brings her into close collaboration with product managers, engineers, sales teams, designers, and regional marketing colleagues, all with the goal of turning Ophir’s technical expertise into useful, relevant communication for customers around the world.
Building Meaningful B2B Connections
One area Ronit is especially passionate about is LinkedIn and its role in B2B marketing.
She views the platform as more than a place to announce products. It is an opportunity to share expertise, educate the market, highlight the people behind the technology, and build long-term relationships with professionals across the photonics industry.
“A strong B2B post should give people something useful, a practical insight, a clearer understanding, or a reason to look at a familiar challenge differently,” she explains. “Good content should support the business, but it should also respect the audience’s time and intelligence.”
This approach also shapes Ronit’s broader marketing work. Alongside developing content and campaigns, she is interested in understanding what happens after an audience member clicks, downloads, registers, or submits an inquiry.
By combining creative communication with campaign data and digital analytics, she aims to help connect marketing activity more closely with customer journeys and measurable business results.
Storytelling Beneath the Streets of Jerusalem
Ronit’s interest in communication and storytelling continues beyond the office.
She also serves as a tour guide at the Western Wall Tunnels, introducing tourist to the history, archaeology, and human stories hidden beneath the streets of the Old City.

At first glance, laser measurement marketing and guiding visitors through ancient Jerusalem may seem like very different activities. Ronit, however, sees a clear connection between them.
“In both roles, I begin with a large amount of information and need to decide what will be most meaningful to a particular audience,” she says. “You cannot simply present every fact. You need to create a clear path, provide context, and help people understand why the story matters.”
Every tour group is different, just as every professional audience is different. A successful experience requires listening, adapting, asking questions, and finding the details that will help the subject come alive.
Looking ahead, Ronit hopes to continue strengthening Ophir’s content and digital presence, developing marketing programs that combine strategic thinking with practical execution, and creating more opportunities for Ophir experts to share their knowledge with the industry.
Whether she is developing a campaign, reviewing performance data, interviewing a technical expert, or leading a group through the history of Jerusalem, Ronit brings the same fundamental approach: understand the audience, find a meaningful story, and communicate it with clarity and purpose.
