Power Density Calculator

What is this calculator for?

Use this calculator to determine the power density and/or fluence (energy density) of your laser beam.

Notes

  • Tophat calculations are for ideal tophat laser beams. For beams that are not 100% uniform, the peak power/energy density will be higher.
  • Gaussian beam intensity is calculated for the 1/e^2 (13.5% of peak) beam diameter.
