Dr. Efi Rotem

Dr. Rotem brings over 20 years of experience in optoelectronic industries, including fiber-optic communications, tunable lasers, display technology and semiconductor device metrology. He joined Ophir Instruments in 2013 serving in several roles including project manager, CTO and R&D director. Prior to joining Ophir, he was the co-founder of XLight Photonics, a startup which developed data routing technology using fast tunable lasers. Dr. Rotem also worked at KLA-Tencor and Oclaro as an R&D engineer. Dr. Rotem holds a Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering from Ben Gurion University of the Negev, and was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Brown University, Providence RI.
