Use this calculator to determine the peak power of your laser beam.
Notes:
- This calculator assumes square pulses. For other shape pulses, the result will not be completely accurate. (You can see your precise laser pulse shape with a fast photodiode like the FPS-1)
- Tophat calculations are for ideal tophat laser beams.
For beams that are not 100% uniform, the peak power/energy density will be higher. - Gaussian beam intensity is calculated for the 1/e^2 (13.5% of peak) beam diameter.
