Expanded ISO Accreditations

By Kristen Winterton, Calibration Technician

At Ophir-Spiricon we pride ourselves on providing quality in every step of our service to you. To validate and measure our commitment to quality, Ophir-Spiricon has recently renewed our ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation by ACLASS. We validated that we are still in compliance for our calibration systems. ISO/IEC 17025:2005 is an accreditation that provides the general standards for testing and calibration labs worldwide. It helps us strive to complete consistent, valid results in our testing.

Ophir-Spiricon is proud to announce the expanded scope of accreditation to include additional capabilities in our calibration facility. Our capabilities now include: Ophir meters and thermal, pyroelectric, and photodiode sensors, with the recent inclusion of Spiricon M2 systems, Photon Nanoscans, Beamscans and Goniometric Radiometers, and Newport optical power meters and detectors.

This certificate of accreditation is available, and we are happy to provide a copy of the certificate upon request. The expanded Scope of Accreditation can be found here.

Within the Repair & Recalibration Lab, we have also re-assessed our ISO 9001:2008 certification. This accreditation certifies that, as a company, we have standardized procedures and processes for serving our customers and that we are following our quality system. The current registration is also available upon request, and we encourage you to contact us for a copy of this certificate to put on file.

In addition to audits by these bodies, we welcome customer audits. Every audit helps us learn more about how we can provide better service, and gives us an opportunity to strengthen our relationships with you. Please let us know if you would like to schedule an opportunity to tour and audit our facility.
