Infrared optics for IR night vision, thermal imaging and FLIR by Ophir Optronics

Build To Print Customized IR Optics

Ophir Optics Group - Infrared Optics - Customized Lenses

Advanced optical design technologies and innovative engineering are applied to our build-to-specification development processes, allowing us to reach efficient design results with fewer elements, lighter components and reduced-cost. These same advanced capabilities and expertise are combined with cutting-edge manufacturing technologies such as diamond-turning machines, CNC generators and polishers, automated coating chambers and advanced metrology and test equipment, to create our build-to-print (BTP) component and assemblies, including aspheric, diffractive and spherical lenses, mirrors, domes, windows and prisms.

Manufacturing Technologies

R&D
Ophir's R&D department focuses on design and development of lens sub-assemblies, CO2 optics products and improving manufacturing techniques. The goal is to develop lens assemblies with very high optical & mechanical performance, while aiming to achieve the highest manufacturing efficiencies. In close association with our customers, we strive to provide unique solutions, perfectly tailored to their specific requirements.

CNC Polishing
Ophir Optics Group - Infrared Optics - CNC Polishing The polishing department at Ophir produces spherical elements, windows, domes, prisms and mirrors from all known materials for the IR spectrum and has additional capabilities in the Visible and UV spectrum. This department is unique in its abilities to produce a wide range of high precision elements in prototype and one-off production, as well as high precision elements in mass production.

Coatings
Ophir Optics Group - Infrared Optics - Coatings Recognized as a world leader in the development, production and application of advanced optical coatings.
Using class 1,000 clean room, we offer a variety of coating technics, including:
  • Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) – Thermal heating & Electron gun
  • Ion Assisted Deposition (IAD) - Ion gun
  • Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PECVD) for DLC coatings
Ophir has highly experienced coating development group with over 40 year of experience offering a wide variety of coatings including:
  • AR, Mirrors and Filters
  • UV, VIS, NIR, SWIR, MWIR, LWIR
  • Multispectral coatings
  • DLC (HC) coatings and Low Reflectance HC (LRHC)
  • Laser coatings: AR, Phase Shift Mirrors, Output Coupler, End Mirror etc.
  • EUV coatings

Diamond Turning
Ophir Optics Group - Infrared Optics - Diamind Turning The diamond turning department was established in 1981 to provide in- house diamond turning capabilities. The department contains the most advanced diamond fly cutting and turning machines. These, together with the department's know-how enable Ophir to achieve the highest levels of accuracy and surface quality on a wide range of substrates.

Lens Assembly
Lens Assembly Ophir manufactures complete lens assemblies designed in house, to satisfy stringent optical, mechanical and environmental performance specifications using a minimum number of optical elements.

Ophir SupIR™ lens sub-assemblies rely on the unique combination of precision optical components, (aspheric, diffractive and spherical lenses), superior coatings and its experienced optical and mechanical designers. This expertise is successfully translated into high performance products at the most competitive prices.

Quality Assurance
Ophir Optics Group - Infrared Optics - QA Ophir provides premium quality products, by using strict control on the entire manufacturing process, operated by highly professional and experienced team. From design to prototyping, production, supply chain and capabilities improvement, we use DVT, FAT, FAI, SPC testing and processes control, QMS SAP centralized information system and LEAN management methods implemented across all company functions. Ophir Optics is AS9100 Rev. D, ISO 9001-2015 certified; compliant with commercial, automotive, and US military standards (MIL I 45208), as well as with RoHS standards.
