{"id":9294,"date":"2020-02-19T11:00:13","date_gmt":"2020-02-19T11:00:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ophiropt.com\/blog\/laser-measurement\/?p=9294"},"modified":"2024-03-21T07:36:24","modified_gmt":"2024-03-21T07:36:24","slug":"update-starlab-new-features-complete-compatibility","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ophiropt.com\/blog\/update-starlab-new-features-complete-compatibility\/","title":{"rendered":"Update StarLab for New Features and Complete Compatibility"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Unless you\u2019re new to StarLab, you probably already know that we come out with a new version every couple of years.<br \/>The new version is free to download, so there\u2019s no reason not to go ahead and <a href=\"https:\/\/https:\/\/www.ophiropt.com\/en\/g\/starlab-for-usb\">download it now<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But time is money, so here are a few reasons to take two minutes and download StarLab 3.40.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>New Features<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The latest version of StarLab now supports three new methods of measuring your laser:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u201cPower from Pulse\u201d for measuring very high power lasers with small, air-cooled sensors<\/li>\n<li>\u201cLow Frequency Power\u201d for measuring VCSELs and other low power, low frequency sources<\/li>\n<li>\u201cFast Power\u201d mode, for measurement and logging at a rate of 10 kHz. This works with photodiode sensors connected to the Centauri power meter.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4><strong>Compatibility<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The latest version of StarLab now supports all Ophir devices, including the two newest ones: Centauri (power meter) and Juno+ (PC interface).<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Remote I\/O Settings (for Centauri)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Finally, StarLab 3.40 allows you to remotely set your advanced input\/output settings for the Centauri power meter.
