Traveling frees my mind and soul and I do it whenever I can. I\nenjoy traveling with my family and friends, discovering new cultures and\ntasting new flavors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I love extreme sports \u2013 rappelling, race\ndriving, and skiing \u2013 but I also love curling up with a good book or going to\nthe movies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What brought you to Ophir?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>I served\nas an electronics technician in the Israeli Air\nForce. When I\nstarted university, I majored in Far\nEast Eastern\nstudies, economics and marketing, and I even learned Japanese. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I graduated, I looked for employment\nopportunities in the South East Asia Market, particularly Japan. When Ophir was\nlooking to expand their photonics\nmarket in South East Asia, it was a dream come true, combining my love of the Far\nEast, electronics, and marketing. And I have been with Ophir ever since.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is your favorite part of your work?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>It sounds like a clich\u00e9 but my favorite part of my work\nis the\npeople. My colleagues at Ophir are\nunique and special. We call it the &#8220;Ophir culture.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I always find opportunities to learn about\nnew applications, grow my knowledge base, and meet people\nin other companies. It broadens my horizons and challenges\nme to continue to find ways to solve problems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do you keep up on the latest developments in the photonics industry?\u00a0 <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>I can\u2019t overemphasize the need to stay\nup-to-date in the photonics\nindustry.\nWe are at the forefront of technological innovation which means that we need to\nkeep pace with advancements. More importantly, we need to have a deep\nunderstanding of new technologies <strong><em>and<\/em><\/strong> their applicability. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I visit customers or attend conferences and exhibitions, I am always on the lookout for the latest technology in that field. It is\nvery important to &#8220;listen&#8221; when you visit customers because that\u2019s how you stay attuned to the latest developments and customer pain points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are the common questions from customers in your field?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>I find that customers are usually interested in ROI &#8211; finding the best yet most affordable solution for their needs.
