PE9 Pyroelectric Detector is Designed for the Measurement of Very Low Energies

Wilmington, MA, May 2004…Ophir Optronics, Inc., leaders in advanced technology for the measurement of laser power, energy, beam profile and wavelength, introduces the new, PE9 Pyroelectric Detector. Designed for the measurement of very low pulse energies, the PE9 Pyroelectric Detector combines high accuracy, high damage threshold and high repetition rate operation in a single head.

For the first time you can measure both long pulses up to 15uS and have a high repetition rate up to 4KHz, in the same detector head. The PE9 has special features such as sensitivity down to very low energies, high repetition rates and a broad spectral range. The PE9 provides pulse energy measurements from 0.2 J up to 1mJ, and repetition rates up to 4000Hz.

Specifications for the PE9 include: a Spectral Response from 0.19-12 m in which the calibration is stored in the eprom and is selectable in 1nm increments, energy scales of 2 J, 20uJ, 200uJ, 1mJ and average power up to 2 watts. More information on Ophir's entire line of Pyroelectric detectors as well as the Thermal, Photodiode detectors, and OEM measurement heads can be found in Ophir's new 2004 catalog or by visiting the Ophir web site at www.ophiropt.com. All Ophir's Thermal, Photodiode and Pyroelectric detectors are compatible with the Laserstar series displays - Nova, Nova II, Orion, and Laserstar.
