COM object

• Besides their use as standalone, fully featured laser power/energy meters, Ophir devices (Pulsar, USB Interface, Nova-II, Vega and Juno) can also be used through a COM object control. This allows system integrators to integrate Ophir measurement capabilities with legacy analysis packages.
• StarLab registers the COM object components as part of the installation process of the StarLab application. Registration is also possible via the Options Menu of the StarLab application.

ActiveX

The OphirFastX and OphirUsbX ActiveX packages are still included with the StarLab installation so as to not disrupt legacy OEM installations by customers. However, new features will not be added to them. For new designs, we highly recommend using the new COM object.
