Pyroelectric Laser Energy Sensors – 0.2µJ to 10J
Ophir pyroelectric laser joule meters use innovative, patented technology which facilitates accurate and repeatable laser measurements of pulses over an extensive range of conditions including long pulses to 5ms. Ophir’s pyroelectric detectors have metallic coating which allows for high repetition rates of upto 25KHz.

Firmware update for PE-C type pyroelectric sensors


PE-C sensors with StarLab
Support for PE-C sensors with Vega, Nova II and Juno in StarLab application is now available.
When working with other meters it is not necessary to update the embedded software of the PE-C.

Download Steps
In order to upgrade the embedded software in the PE-C sensor line with the StarLab application:
  • Attach the PE-C sensor to a Juno (with version 1.21 or higher) or a Vega / Nova-II (version 2.16 or higher).
       To download the latest version of Juno, Vega or Nova-II software press here
  • Connect the meter to the PC and run StarLab (with version 2.10 or higher).
       To download the latest StarLab version press here
  • Enter the diagnostic screen and select to upgrade sensor software (version 1.69 or higher).
       To download the latest PE-C version press here
