How to reset the app if it gets stuck
- After replacing a sensor on the Quasar device, you must turn the Quasar off / on.
- If the application is stuck; to quit, press the menu key to open select/quit screen.
- If that does not help, enter the Task manager to end the application.
- If the application does not response as expected (i.e. stuck, no readings), follow the recovery scheme below.
- Progress dialogs in the application have a "Cancel" button.
This button is intended to free the app if it gets stuck (taking too long).
However, since cancelling in the middle of command sequence can leave the application in undetermined situations, therefor, after canceling, it is recommended to execute the recovery scheme below.
Recovery scheme: Follow the sequence below:
- Exit Quasar Reader application - preferably using the application quit menu
- Make sure Quasar Reader application is not active
- Turn your quasar "off"
- In bluetooth settings:
- Unpair quasar
- Disable (turn "off') Bluetooth
- Turn your quasar "on"
- In bluetooth settings:
- Enable (turn "on) Bluetooth
- pair quasar

- Unpair Quasar device from phone's Bluetooth
- Turn Quasar device off
- Turn phone Bluetooth off
- Turn phone off
- Turn phone on
- Stop all applications on phone
- Run quasar reader application
- [while keeping the quasar reader app running] Turn Bluetooth on
- Turn Quasar device on
- Pair phone Bluetooth with Quasar device
- Return to quasar reader application
- Select device etc.
