FAQ

I have damaged my fluorescent imaging plate. Can I replace it or do I need to send it back to the factory for repair?

The fluorescent plate was designed to be field replaceable and can be ordered. The part number to order is 11597-103 and it can be ordered by contacting our service department at service@us.ophiropt.com.

Why will my ModeCheck not finish its background calibration cycle?

The ModeCheck background calibration cycle may get stuck due to some environmental conditions which cause the wand position to become difficult to determine. You may be able to restore operation by cleaning the back side of the wand where the wand passes the optical sensor.

Does the ModeCheck work at wavelengths other than 10.6μm CO2?

The fluorescent plate only responds to wavelengths from 9-11μm. All lasers within this range will work with the ModeCheck.

Can I correlate my power meter reading from my Ophir sensor with the data from the ModeCheck?

Yes, click on the Computations tab and enter the reading from your Ophir power meter equipment into the Calibration Value editbox on the Power panel and click on the Calibrate button (checkmark) to correlate the Ophir power meter reading with your beam profile.
