Ophir Optronics is introducing a new 2-FOV, uncooled, 45/135mm, f#1.6, lens that eliminates the need of the NUC (Non Uniformity Correction) shutter.

Smart controller integrated into the lens performs high speed defocusing in 0.2 second that enables the camera to perform NUC.

This unique technology eliminates the use of moving mechanical parts in the camera, increasing the reliability, simplifying the camera and reducing the cost of the overall system. NUC by defocusing reduces the residual errors caused by the camera's shutter nonuniform temperature.

To increase the system reliability and reduce cost & weight, the new lens has only one motor for NUC, focus adjustment and changing the FOV. The rugged structure of the lens with the better MTBF makes this lens suitable for outdoor or mobile application, fire control systems, and weapon sights applications.
