    Ophir is a market leader in production of precision infrared (IR) optical components and complex IR lens assemblies for the defense, security and commercial markets. Ophir's modern state-of-the-art facility in North Andover, MA designs and produces a full range of high-performance optical elements and lenses for the defense, security and commercial markets. In addition, we distribute a full range of optical components for the industrial CO2 laser market.

    Ophir's 38,000 ft² of facilities are capable of producing large quantities of optics quickly and cost-effectively. All manufacturing is done in-house utilizing automated CNC and patented diamond turning technologies. Innovative design and engineering result in fewer elements, increased efficiency, lighter weight components and lower cost assemblies.     Ophir facilities incorporate all technologies involved in the design and manufacturing processes of IR optics. Our fabrication facilities are equipped with the latest generation diamond turning machines, CNC generators and polishers, automated coating chambers, metrology test equipment and the most modern laser interferometers including Computer Generated Holographic (CGH) test equipment.

    All of Ophir's manufacturing departments are ISO 9001:2008 certified. From design to delivery,

    Our production processes utilize all of the common IR materials for fabrication such as Germanium, Silicon, Zinc Selenide, Zinc Sulfide (IR & Multispectral), Calcium Floride and the Chalcogenide materials such as AMTIR. In addition to fabricating a complete range of optical elements, including refractive and reflective components, Ophir specializes in complex lens assemblies for both MWIR and LWIR such as 1FOV, 2FOV and 3FOV configurations as well as Continuous Zoom lenses using electronic boards and software controlled encoded motors for FOV and focus control.
